Log Book, 1923-1925.

Logbook chronicling Mason's experiences on different ships, through storms, illnesses, and the amputation of his big toe. Mason also noted maintenance and work duties, as well as his regular fights, misbehavior, and docked pay. He described in detail many of the places he visited, including Cuba, Honduras, and South Africa. On the inside covers and last pages of the diary, Mason recorded nautical songs and sayings, and gave a chronological record of his travels. (02-043).
